of Science degree in Finance from Illinois State University and dedicated over 40 years of his career as an agent with State Farm Insurance. Bennie was also a proud and active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for more than four decades, contributing significantly to the fraternity's mission and forming lifelong bonds. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, LaVerne, his son, Troy, his mother, Corrie Council, and his sister, Belinda Hamer. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on April 25, 2026, at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home & Crematory.
