The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (UAFS) has launched a Corporate Partner Program providing a 50% tuition discount for employees of participating school districts pursuing a Master of Education degree. Fort Smith Public Schools (FSPS) is the inaugural
partner in this initiative. The program aims to support educators in continuing their education by significantly reducing the financial burden of a graduate degree, with the discount amounting to approximately $6,000 in savings over the course of the program. To qualify, employees must work for a partner school district and enroll in at least three credit hours per term. The UAFS Master of Education is a 30-credit-hour program, featuring core courses in a hybrid format and concentration courses in English or curriculum and instruction delivered entirely online. The university funds and administers the tuition discount, and participating school districts incur no costs to join the program. Additionally, employees from partner districts can receive a complimentary review of previously earned credit hours to determine their applicability toward the degree.
