The AGCO Foundation has announced a partnership with the University of Sydney Business School to expand the Remote and Rural Enterprise (RARE) program with a new agriculture stream. This initiative aims
to bolster economic resilience in Australia's rural areas through student-led projects and targeted support. Over the past fifty years, more than 70% of Australia's rural communities have experienced economic decline due to population loss and limited employment diversification. The new agriculture stream will focus on social enterprise development, agricultural tourism, and sustainability projects. Each year, 50 to 70 students will engage in community-based research, collaborating with local entrepreneurs and Indigenous-led enterprises to create solutions that promote agricultural resilience and economic development.
