What's Happening?
Eurostar has announced a new direct train route from London St Pancras to Antwerp-Centraal, Belgium, set to begin on December 14, 2026. This new service will significantly reduce travel time to approximately two hours and 45 minutes, compared to the current
journey that takes over three hours and requires a transfer in Brussels. The route will operate up to four times daily, with stops at Lille-Europe, Brussels-Midi, Rotterdam-Centraal, and Amsterdam-Centraal. However, the return journey from Antwerp to London will not be direct due to customs and border issues, as there are no current plans for dedicated UK border facilities at Antwerp-Centraal.
