What's Happening?
Project Connect, an event aimed at providing services to those in need in Charlevoix and Emmet counties, has been rescheduled to April 22 due to a winter storm in mid-March. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Central Michigan College’s
Student and Community Resource Center. Over 70 local nonprofit agencies and businesses will offer free services, including financial, housing, employment, and health assistance. Participants can also enjoy a hot snack while learning about available resources. Dana Lorian, Project Connect co-chair, emphasized the event's goal to simplify access to social services and provide a special area for veterans and their families to connect with state and county representatives.
