What's Happening?
Lainey Wichtowski, a senior at Westville High School in Illinois, has been named the WCIA 3 Athlete of the Week. Wichtowski has achieved over 2,500 assists in her high school volleyball career and contributed
to the Tigers' impressive 27-9 record in 2025. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Wichtowski runs an art business, painting various items from hairbrushes to statues. She plans to pursue a Master's degree at Illinois State University and later enlist in the Army as a social worker. Wichtowski is now eligible for a $1,500 cash prize awarded by WCIA at the end of the school year.
