What's Happening?
Edge Group has introduced a new tactical electronic intelligence (elint) pod designed for use on fighter jets and other aircraft. The AMES-P pod, showcased at the Dubai Airshow, is primarily intended for center-fuselage
carriage but can also be mounted underwing. It is certified for supersonic flight, although the specific platform used for flight trials has not been disclosed. The pod offers instantaneous threat geolocation and wideband detection capabilities, suitable for both standoff and stand-in operations. Developed in collaboration with Spanish defense technology provider Indra, the pod is part of Edge's expanding airborne electronic warfare product line.
