Poland has entered into a strategic agreement with the U.S.-based Anduril Industries to produce the Barracuda-500M cruise missile. This collaboration was announced by Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz,
on July 6, 2026. The production will take place at the Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S A (WZL-2) facilities in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The Barracuda-500M is a medium-range, surface-launched missile with a range exceeding 500 nautical miles (926 km) and speeds between 190 to 500 knots. It is designed to be precise, resistant to electronic warfare, and cost-effective, being up to ten times cheaper than comparable U.S. missiles. The missile is part of a family of autonomous jet-powered cruise missiles and will eventually be adapted for European use with software solutions from Anduril.
