Egypt's Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk and World Bank Regional Director Meskerem Brhane met to discuss strengthening cooperation to support Egypt's food and water security. The talks focused on enhancing agricultural resilience, infrastructure improvement,
and promoting climate-smart agriculture. They also reviewed the World Bank's 'AgriConnect' initiative, which aims to help small farmers transition to market-oriented production. The discussions included modernizing agricultural cooperatives and irrigation systems, and attracting private-sector investment in agriculture.
