Winvic has begun construction on a logistics depot for Carlsberg Britvic at the West Midlands Interchange (WMI) development. The Northampton-based contractor was appointed by Logistics Capital Partners to deliver a 20,439-square meter two-story depot, including 1,060 square meters of office space. This marks the first vertical build at the 734-acre development near Junction 12 of the M6 in Staffordshire, which is being developed by Logistics Capital Partners and Oxford Properties. The construction started this month and is expected to be completed by spring 2026. The depot is designed to meet BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+ standards, aligning with the Net Zero Carbon Building Pilot Standard. Sustainability features include rainwater harvesting, high-efficiency heat pumps, and full rooftop photovoltaic coverage.
