Columbia College recently celebrated the recipients of the 2025 Albert P. Weisman Award at an opening reception held at the Student Center gallery. The award, named after Albert Weisman, honors excellence
in communication and has been granted to over 1,000 students since its inception. Emma Bolas, a BFA graduate in photography, was among the recipients for her project 'Soul Provider,' which documents the lives of single parents and their children. The award provides a $2,000 grant to students for completing significant creative projects. The gallery exhibit, curated by students in the 'Gallery Management: Practicum' course, features projects across various disciplines, offering students hands-on experience in arts management.
