Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig has announced the 2026 Choose Iowa Calendar Contest, inviting school-aged students to submit artwork that combines Iowa agriculture with a patriotic theme. This initiative is part of Iowa's celebration of the 250th
anniversary of the United States. Winning submissions will be featured in the 2026/2027 Choose Iowa calendar, distributed during the Iowa State Fair and online. Secretary Naig will recognize the winning artists at a special awards ceremony on August 18, 2026, during the Iowa State Fair.
