The Terry Family Foundation has donated $5.5 million to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, to support significant advancements in pediatric cardiac and emergency care. This donation is the largest investment by the Jacksonville-based
philanthropy in Northeast Florida since 2024. The funds will be used to upgrade technology and equipment at the C. Herman & Mary Virginia Terry Heart Institute and to develop a new Children's Emergency Center. The new emergency center is part of a $190 million expansion project at Baptist Health's main Southbank campus, which includes the construction of the McGehee Family Tower. This facility will feature 37 pediatric treatment rooms, dedicated behavioral health beds, and expanded trauma capacity.
