The Ministry of Agriculture in Eritrea conducted a mid-year review meeting on July 16, 2026, to assess the progress of regional work plans and the Comprehensive Small and Productive Farm Plot program. Reports from all six regions highlighted activities
such as soil and water conservation, water reservoir construction, and crop health. The program has been implemented in over 83% of the identified villages. Recommendations were made to enhance seed distribution monitoring and organic fertilizer promotion. Minister Arefaine Berhe reaffirmed the commitment to achieving 'Safe and Nutritious Food for Everyone, Everywhere' and emphasized the importance of soil and water conservation.
