What's Happening?
Andy Mann, a technology teacher, has developed a STEM loaner library for the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District in Michigan. This initiative allows teachers to borrow high-tech equipment like VR headsets, 3D printers, and codable robots without
the financial burden of purchasing them. The library, known as the Discovery Center, operates on a three-week loan system, with teachers able to request items through a website. The program is funded through strategic partnerships, including a cooperative purchasing program and the Civil Air Patrol Aerospace Education Member program, which provides free STEM equipment to educators.
