Fiji is enhancing its capacity to respond to animal disease threats by training 26 officers from the Ministry of Agriculture, Waterways and Sugar Industry. These officers completed specialized Para-Vet Training, acquiring practical skills in animal examination,
disease recognition, treatment, biosecurity, and veterinary medicine. The program, supported by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Pacific Community, aims to bolster Fiji's efforts to protect its livestock and poultry industries.
