battle with cancer, which he had been fighting for three years. Born in County West Meath, Ireland, Brendan emigrated to London at the age of fourteen, where he began his career at Scott's restaurant in Piccadilly Circus. In 1961, he moved to North America, settling in Toronto before eventually relocating to Chicago in 1979. In Chicago, Brendan became a successful entrepreneur, opening several Irish pubs, including the well-known D4 Irish Pub & Cafe. He was deeply involved in his community and cherished his role as a grandfather to nine grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one. Brendan's life will be celebrated with a funeral mass at Mary, Seat of Wisdom in Park Ridge, Illinois.
