The National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) has endorsed the Health Equity and Accountability Act (HEAA) of 2026, a legislative effort aimed at addressing health disparities and expanding access to culturally responsive healthcare. The act, introduced
by members of the Congressional Tri-Caucus, includes measures to strengthen the healthcare workforce, improve health data collection, and support disease-prevention programs. NMQF President and CEO Gary Puckrein emphasized the need for strong evaluation and accountability to ensure measurable improvements in underserved communities.
