Steven Franklin Feinberg, PhD, a respected figure in the field of Organizational Psychology, passed away peacefully at his home on March 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Feinberg was a devoted husband to Beryl (née Bloom) and father to the late Eric William
Feinberg. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Born in Rochester, New York, Feinberg pursued a lifelong passion for learning, attending The University of Buffalo and Kent State University before earning his doctorate in Psychology from Syracuse University. Over his 40-year career in Chicago, he made significant contributions to his field, impacting clients, colleagues, and the community. Feinberg was also an avid college sports fan, particularly of Syracuse basketball and March Madness. A service in his honor will be held at The Chapel in Buffalo Grove, with interment at Shalom Memorial Park. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
