What's Happening?
The FPSO Tamara Tokoni, a floating production, storage, and offloading unit, is now available for redeployment in West Africa. The vessel has a proven track record in challenging offshore conditions, capable of processing 40,000 bopd, handling 66 MMscf/d
of gas, and injecting 15,000 bwpd of water, with a storage capacity of 1.1 MMbbl of crude. It features a 12-point spread mooring system and supports tandem or shuttle tanker offloading. The redeployment offers a faster and cost-effective alternative to newbuild units, which typically require 30-36 months to deliver.
Why It's Important?
The availability of the FPSO Tamara Tokoni for redeployment is significant for operators looking to accelerate development timelines for new or ongoing field projects in West Africa. Redeployment can reduce schedules and capital costs, providing a viable option for fast-track developments, early production systems, or brownfield expansions. The vessel's engineering teams are ready to conduct integration studies for operators evaluating its use for near-term field work, highlighting its potential to minimize downtime and expedite first oil production.
