Michael Herman Newman, aged 74, passed away on June 19, 2026, due to Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sherry Newman, and their three sons, along with seven grandsons. Newman was known for his dedication to family and community,
having coached numerous children in sports during the 70s and 80s. He had a long career in telecommunications, working with companies like Southern Bell and AT&T. His life was marked by service and faith, actively participating in various church communities. A celebration of his life is scheduled at the Warren Augusta Worship Center.
