The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the deaths of two prominent San Francisco residents, Judith Sheldon and Wylie Sheldon, who were found deceased in a running SUV on Interstate 5 near Redding. The incident occurred on Monday
evening when a CHP officer discovered the vehicle on the shoulder of the highway, north of Fawndale Road. Judith Sheldon, aged 84, was known as a San Francisco arts patron and the daughter of Oscar-winning filmmaker William Wyler. Her husband, Wylie Sheldon, aged 86, was also pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, the CHP has not released any information regarding the cause of their deaths.
