L3Harris Technologies and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) have announced a partnership to develop the Blue Sky Warden, a light attack aircraft tailored for the Israeli Air Force. The collaboration involves
integrating Israeli-specific systems into the existing Sky Warden aircraft, which is based on the Air Tractor AT-802U airframe. The aircraft will feature an open architecture mission computer to host Israeli-specific software and capabilities. IAI will lead the integration of mission equipment and oversee flight tests and airworthiness campaigns with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Air Force. The Blue Sky Warden is designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and light strike missions, offering a cost-effective solution with a maximum payload of 3,161 kg and a range of 2,414 km.
