Comcast has completed its network buildout in Glades County, Florida, bringing Xfinity and business broadband services to over 2,800 homes and businesses. This expansion includes more than 2,100 previously unserved locations in communities such as Lakeport,
Moore Haven, Ortona, and Sarasota Colony. The project was a collaborative effort with the state of Florida, with Comcast having been awarded $50 million in broadband grant funding through Florida's Broadband Opportunity Program in 2023. This funding was allocated to connect 40,000 locations across 23 counties, with Glades County being one of the successful implementations.
