Edie Erickson has been recognized with the TORCH Award by Bay College for her exceptional contributions as an instructional designer. Erickson, who joined Bay College in February 2017, has been instrumental
in developing courses and creating training materials. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in elementary education and social studies from Baker College and a master's degree in educational technology from Michigan State University. Erickson's career also includes nine years of teaching third grade in South Carolina and Michigan. She is currently an adjunct instructor in Michigan State University's master's program in Educational Technology. Her colleagues nominated her for the award, highlighting her dedication to Bay College's mission and her commitment to student success. The TORCH Award stands for Team Player, Outstanding Performance, Responsive to Others, Conscientious to Mission of Bay, and Helpful to All.
