What's Happening?
SEPTA will temporarily close two trolley lines, D1 and D2, servicing parts of Delaware County this weekend. The closure is due to the replacement of the grade crossing on Landsdowne Avenue, where the rail tracks intersect with the street. This work will result
in the closure of the block between Garrett Road and Winding Way to vehicular traffic through Monday evening. To accommodate the work, shuttle buses will replace the trolley lines, which connect Upper Darby to Media and Sharon Hill. Additionally, Route 115, which travels between Delaware County Community College and the Philadelphia International Airport, will detour around the construction area. SEPTA has stated that the new rails, ties, and asphalt surface will provide a smoother ride across Landsdowne Avenue.
