What's Happening?
Dr. Adeolu Adeboye, a trauma surgeon at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, is preparing for his fifth medical mission to Nigeria. Scheduled for September 20, the mission will last six days and is organized through the Shekinah Global Healthcare Foundation,
a nonprofit founded by Adeboye. The team, consisting of four to five medical professionals from HCA Florida Bayonet Point, will provide free medical, dental, eye, surgical, and pharmaceutical care to underserved communities in Ibadan, Nigeria. This mission is part of an ongoing effort by Adeboye, who was born in Nigeria, to give back to his home country. The foundation also focuses on training local medical professionals and donating medical equipment.
