Corinthia Rome has officially opened its doors on Piazza del Parlamento, marking the debut of Corinthia Hotels in Italy. The hotel is situated in a restored neoclassical palazzo, previously associated with the Bank of Italy. The building, designed by
Pio and Marcello Piacentini and constructed between 1913 and 1921, underwent a meticulous restoration led by design studio GA. This restoration aimed to return the structure to its original proportions, revealing original mosaics, stuccoes, cornices, painted ceilings, and marble details. The hotel features 60 rooms, including 21 suites, and is owned by Reuben Brothers. The art collection within the hotel was curated by VISTO and includes works by Italian artists such as Elisa Grezzani and Francesca Longhini. The hotel also offers three dining venues curated by chef Carlo Cracco, and a subterranean spa inspired by Roman bathing rituals.
