Minor Hotels, a prominent global hotel owner and operator, has announced its entry into the Slovenian market through a management agreement with MK Group for the Hotel Palace Portorož. This move marks
the group's expansion along Europe's Adriatic coast. The hotel, located in the resort town of Portorož, will begin operations under Minor Hotels from February 12, 2026, and is set to reopen for the 2026 season in late March following an extensive refurbishment. The 183-room property is designed to offer guests privacy and personalized experiences, featuring amenities such as three restaurants, three bars, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, beach access, and a dedicated area for meetings and events. The hotel will relaunch in the first quarter of 2027 as part of Minor Hotels' new luxury soft brand, the Minor Reserve Collection, which focuses on independent luxury hotels with a strong sense of identity and place.
