The week-long festivities will commence with a Gospel Explosion featuring Zacardi Cortez and the Wiley University A Cappella Choir on Sunday, October 18, which is free and open to the public. Other key events include a community street festival, a Wildcat Vendor Village, a Food Truck Rally, and Mainstage entertainment on Saturday, October 24. The day will also feature men's and women's basketball games where the Wiley Wildcats will compete against Texas College. The celebration will culminate with 'Boots & Brims: The President’s Scholarship Fundraiser,' an adult-only event featuring K. Michelle, aimed at raising scholarship funds for students. Additional events throughout the week include the State of the University address, a Wildcat Pep Rally, an NPHC Step Show, and the Wiley University National Alumni Association’s Lifetime Soirée, which will honor 44 alumni.
