What's Happening?
A fast food restaurant in Lancaster has been fined £20,000 for allowing 'foul water' to run down a street, according to Lancaster City Council. Inspectors found a missing protective guard from an extraction

Additionally, the restaurant was ordered to rectify drainage issues affecting a path used by students. The business, part of a national chain, admitted to one health and safety offence, one food safety and hygiene offence, and two counts of failing to comply with improvement notices. Lancaster Magistrates also ordered the company to pay costs of £2,723.44 and a victim surcharge of £2,000.
