What's Happening?
The Silver Raven, the UK's first fully electric sightseeing vessel, has begun operations on the Thames, powered by VULKAN UK's electrical design expertise. Commissioned by Woods Tours and built at Pendennis Shipyard, the vessel can carry up to 250 passengers per voyage. It features a battery system from EST Floattech, designed for rapid charging and efficient daily operations. The Silver Raven is part of the UK's Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition, funded by the Department for Transport, aiming to decarbonize the domestic maritime sector.
