French aerospace company Safran has commenced construction on a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility for Leap engines in Casablanca, Morocco. The facility, announced during French President
Emmanuel Macron's visit to Rabat in 2024, will service CFM International Leap engines used in Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The project, spanning 25,000 square meters, is expected to handle 150 engines annually and create 600 jobs by 2030, with an investment of approximately €120 million.
