Why It's Important?
Increasing women's participation in the workforce is crucial for Rajasthan's economic growth, with the state aiming to become a $350 billion economy by 2030. Addressing barriers to women's employment can lead to greater economic empowerment and contribute to overall development goals. The discussions at the roundtable highlight the need for coordinated efforts between industry, government, and workforce development organizations to create an enabling environment for women. By improving workplace safety, mobility, and inclusion, more women can access quality jobs, which is essential for achieving gender equality and economic progress.
