This marks the progression to the hull assembly phase of the ship's construction. The ceremony included a traditional coin placement under the first steel block, symbolizing good luck and protection for the vessel. Project managers from Meyer Turku and Royal Caribbean highlighted the successful cooperation and streamlined processes learned from previous sister ships. The shipyard has previously delivered Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas, with Legend of the Seas set for completion in summer 2026.
