What's Happening?
The Portage County Sheriff's Office is organizing an in-person hunter safety class in Stevens Point, scheduled for June. The classes will be held on June 22, 23, 25, and 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the training room at the sheriff's office. Additionally,
a field day is planned for June 27 at the Dewey Shooting Range from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The course is open to all, but the material is specifically designed for students aged 11 and older. Participants are required to register on the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website, and there is a $10 fee for the course.
