Meteoric has inaugurated a rare earth extraction laboratory in Poços de Caldas, Brazil, as part of the Caldeira Project. The facility, which cost $1.5 million, is designed to process 500 kg of mixed rare earth carbonate

Despite this development, the Caldeira Project mine's environmental licensing remains delayed, pending a vote from the Minas Gerais State Environmental Policy Council (Copam).
