What's Happening?
Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law has introduced the Hutchens Business Law Clinic, aimed at providing students with practical experience in business law. The clinic, supported by
a donation from Hutchens Law Firm, allows students to work on real-world legal matters such as business entity formation and commercial agreements. Led by corporate attorney Benji Jones, the clinic partners with Raleigh Founded to bridge classroom learning with hands-on practice, benefiting both students and local entrepreneurs.
Why It's Important?
The clinic offers law students invaluable experience, preparing them for careers in business law by allowing them to engage directly with clients and legal issues. This initiative not only enhances the educational experience but also supports local businesses, fostering community development. It represents a shift towards experiential learning in legal education, equipping students with the skills needed to succeed in a competitive job market.
