Advantech, a leader in edge computing solutions, has announced a collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and Edge Impulse to accelerate the adoption of next-generation edge AI applications. This partnership focuses on utilizing the Qualcomm Dragonwing
IQ-9075 processor to enhance Advantech's edge AI platforms. The collaboration aims to streamline AI development and deployment at the edge, offering up to 100 TOPS of AI performance through dual Qualcomm Hexagon NPUs and an 8-core Qualcomm Kryo Gen 6 CPU. The new solutions, AIR-055 and AFE-A503, are designed for industrial reliability and long-term deployment in harsh environments. The AIR-055 system supports smart manufacturing, ITS, retail, public safety, robotics, and AMR applications, while the AFE-A503 is tailored for outdoor AMRs and delivery robots.
