What's Happening?
United Hatzalah, an Israeli emergency medical services organization, has launched the 'Ten Kavod' initiative to support the elderly population in Israel. The program focuses on providing critical care and companionship to approximately 700 elderly individuals,
many of whom are Holocaust survivors. Volunteers conduct regular home visits to monitor the health of these seniors, checking their blood pressure and heart rate. The initiative also aims to engage volunteers from the Haredi community, offering them an opportunity to participate in national service by caring for the elderly.

The 'Ten Kavod' initiative addresses significant social and health challenges faced by Israel's aging population, particularly those who are isolated or lack family support.
