Electrolux Group has announced a recall of more than 174,000 Frigidaire gas ranges due to a significant safety concern. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that the ovens in these ranges can experience delayed ignition of the bake burner,
posing a burn hazard to users. This recall affects approximately 169,500 units sold in the United States and 5,300 in Canada. The affected models include various Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional gas ranges, with specific model numbers and serial numbers provided by the CPSC. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled ranges immediately and contact Electrolux for a free in-home installation of a new bake burner. Despite the recall, the cooktop burners on the ranges can still be used safely. Electrolux and the CPSC have received 62 reports of delayed ignition, including 30 reports of burn injuries. The ranges were sold at major retailers such as Lowe's and Home Depot, as well as through Frigidaire's website, from June 2025 through January 2026.
