What's Happening?
Divers have unearthed a bronze helmet and other military artifacts from the Battle of the Aegates, fought between Rome and Carthage in 241 B.C. The helmet, found near the Aegates Islands, is in extraordinary condition and complete with cheek guards. Archaeologists also discovered weapons such as swords, lances, and javelins, used in the battle that ended the First Punic War.
