More than 114,000 Britax car seats are being recalled following numerous complaints about a screw that can loosen, causing the handle to partially detach. The recall was initiated after a consumer complaint on August 1st reported a handle hub mount detaching,
resulting in a minor injury. A subsequent review by the company identified 217 reports of handles detaching and an additional 312 reports of handles being loose or wobbling. The company also noted three other minor injuries reported since 2016 related to this issue. The affected models include B-SAFE 35, B-SAFE ULTRA, ENDEAVOURS, B-SAFE GEN 2, B-SAFE GEN 2 FLEXFIT, and B-SAFE GEN 2 FLEXFIT PLUS. Britax is currently developing a repair kit for the affected car seats.
