Approximately 700 passengers, many returning from a Chris Brown concert in New Jersey, were trapped on a disabled train bound for New York City for about two hours. The train lost power, leaving passengers without electricity and air-conditioning in stifling
heat. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m., and the FDNY responded with 21 units to manage the situation. Passengers were eventually evacuated to Moynihan Train Hall after a booster train was used to tow the disabled train.
