What's Happening?
The Tyndall National Institute announced the spinout of three new semiconductor companies, marking a significant milestone for Ireland's emerging semiconductor sector. The companies, Vivid Photonics, PulpoSemi, and Endurance Semiconductors, were established
to bring Irish semiconductor technologies to global markets. These spinouts were selected for the ChipStart EU Programme, Europe's first incubator dedicated to semiconductor start-ups. Tyndall's efforts are part of Ireland's National Semiconductor Strategy, which aims to capitalize on opportunities under the European Chips Act. The institute engaged with 98 industry partners and secured €8.5 million in industry funding in 2025.
