What's Happening?
Governor Ned Lamont, alongside Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto, announced the allocation of $16.8 million in state grants to support the reconstruction of 13 bridges on locally owned roads across 11 towns and cities in Connecticut.
This funding is part of the State Local Bridge Program, which provides municipalities with 50% of the project costs for bridge reconstruction. The program, established in 1984, aims to assist towns and cities in maintaining their infrastructure, ensuring safe and reliable travel for residents.
