Mary Pat Vitelli, a former technical writer and community volunteer, passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 83. She is survived by her husband, Vito Vitelli, and her daughter, Kara Bates, among other family members. Mary Pat had a distinguished career
at Xerox as a technical writer in the engineering department and later worked part-time for the US Census Bureau and Concentrix Corp. She was actively involved in fundraising campaigns for the St. Joseph’s Council 15471 of the Knights of Columbus, supporting initiatives to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Penfield on July 31, followed by interment at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
