What's Happening?
The Oregon Department of Emergency Management is conducting a series of free webinars aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness in rural communities. The initiative, titled 'Rural Communities Prepared for Disasters,' is designed to equip residents with

The first session, scheduled for April 22, will focus on maintaining communication during disasters, evacuation protocols, and backup power options. A second session on May 13 will address disaster recovery funding, processes, and the role of long-term recovery groups. These webinars are part of a broader effort to ensure that rural communities have access to critical information and resources before disasters occur.
