PSEG Long Island is celebrating National Lineworker Appreciation Day by recognizing the efforts of its field workforce. The company employs approximately 700 lineworkers who are essential in maintaining reliable electric service for 1.2 million customers
on Long Island and in the Rockaways. These workers operate around the clock, often in challenging conditions, to ensure the continuous delivery of electricity. PSEG Long Island operates under a long-term contract with the Long Island Power Authority and is a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Inc.
