What's Happening?
EHang Holdings has introduced the VT35, a long-range, pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, designed for medium and long-distance applications, such as intercity routes of up
to 200km. The VT35 features a tandem-wing, two-seat configuration with eight distributed lift propellers for vertical take-off and landing, and a pusher propeller with fixed wings for cruise flight. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 950kg and a range of 200km when fully loaded. EHang aims to integrate the VT35 into urban air mobility infrastructure, facilitating routine aerial transport between city centers and supporting broader transport networks. The Civil Aviation Administration of China has accepted EHang's type certificate application for the VT35, and the aircraft is progressing through airworthiness certification.
